Meet Our Founder – Hitika Thakur
With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the prestigious National Institute of Nursing Education, PGI Chandigarh, Hitika’s passion for healthcare and leadership started early. She was elected President of the Student Nurses Association for the entire Union Territory of Chandigarh and later served as the President of the PGI Nurses Welfare Association—India’s second-largest nursing association.
Over 6.5 years, she worked as a pediatric OR nurse and contributed extensively during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting both adult and pediatric ICUs.
Her journey took a bold new step when she migrated to Canada as a permanent resident, where she successfully passed the NCLEX (New York Board of Nursing) on her first attempt with the minimum 75 questions
Today, Hitika:
- Holds a non-practicing license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Practices as a Registered Nurse in Nova Scotia across NSHA hospitals, long-term care, and agencies
- Serves as a Telemetry-trained RN and Day Charge Nurse in Halifax Infirmary’s cardiology department
- Has been accepted into the Canadian Armed Forces
- Will pursue a Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner degree (2025–2027) at a globally top-ranked university
